Overcoming Anxiety and Panic (Group)

 

Anxiety and panic are part of life, and they’re a natural human response to threats and stressful events. For 1 in 4 of us, though, they can become a daily struggle. Sweaty palms, butterflies in your stomach, nausea, constant muscle tension, worrying, light-headedness, headaches, racing heart, dizziness, feeling unable to relax, the sense that you suddenly need to leave certain places or situations; all of these can be signs that you’re dealing with anxiety or panic. The good news is that with a few tools and resources, you can overcome the effects of anxiety and panic. You can go from getting through the day to actually enjoying life again.

 

In this group you will learn:

 

  What anxiety and panic are, and why we experience them

  How to tame anxious thoughts

  How to help your body work with you instead of against you in stressful situations

  How to regain control of your mind and body so that you can do the things you want to do

 How to move from anxiety and panic to a sense of calm

 

This 6-week group will help you learn and practice many tools to overcome your anxiety and panic, all in a supportive group atmosphere. And you’ll come away with helpful resources that you can use every day - all at a fraction of the cost of individual counselling.
